Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
The internet's place for impossible choices.
Dilly-Dally Dilemma ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. By using the app you agree to this policy.
1. What we collect
- Account info (if you sign up): an email address (for magic-link sign-in) or a Google/Apple sign-in identifier. We do not collect your real name or photo.
- Your chosen handle: a username you pick. It's public; it's not your real identity.
- Optional demographics (if you provide them): age range, occupation category, country/state, risk appetite, and decision style. Optional and used only in aggregate.
- Activity: your votes, comments, and the dilemmas you create.
- Technical data: basic device/usage data and approximate location derived from your connection, used for security, rate-limiting, and abuse prevention.
2. How we use it
- To run the app: record votes, show results, power discussions.
- To show aggregate insights (e.g. how an age group voted), always grouped, never identifying an individual. We suppress any group too small to be anonymous.
- To keep the app safe: moderation, spam/abuse prevention, rate-limiting.
- To improve the product.
3. What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal data.
- We don't show your real identity. The app is anonymous by design.
- We don't reveal individual votes tied to an identifiable person.
4. Content moderation & AI
Submitted content may be automatically screened for safety using third-party AI moderation services before it appears.
5. Third-party services
We use service providers for authentication (Google, Apple, email sign-in), hosting/database, content moderation, and payment processing. Payments are handled by Razorpay for customers in India and by Dodo Payments (our Merchant of Record) for international customers; we never see or store your full card details. Their handling of data is governed by their own policies.
5a. Advertising & measurement
We use advertising pixels from Reddit and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to measure our ad campaigns and understand which visits, sign-ups, and purchases came from those platforms. They may set cookies and share limited event data (such as page views, sign-ups, checkouts, and purchases) with Reddit and Meta. We do not load these pixels for visitors in the EU, UK, or EEA. You can also limit ad tracking through your browser or device settings.
5b. Emails we send
We send two kinds of email. Service emails are part of running your account: sign-in links, updates about dilemmas you submitted, payment receipts, and important changes to the service. These cannot be switched off while your account is open, because they are how the app works.
Product emails are occasional messages about new features, rewards you have unlocked, and things worth coming back for. Every product email carries an unsubscribe link. One click stops them for good, and we keep a record of that choice so it is honoured even if you sign up again with the same address. Unsubscribing from product emails never affects your service emails.
We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with advertisers. Email is delivered through a third party email provider acting on our behalf.
6. Your choices & rights
- You can unsubscribe from product emails at any time using the link in any such email. See section 5b.
- Demographics are optional. You can skip or edit them anytime in your profile.
- You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us. (Once a username is locked it can't be changed; deletion removes the account.)
- Subject to applicable law (including India's DPDP Act, 2023), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data.
7. Children
The app is intended for users aged 13 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under that age.
8. Data retention & security
We retain data as long as needed to run the service and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable safeguards to protect it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be noted here with a new "last updated" date.
